Our traditions are about being still and finding God, about worshiping God in prayer and in work, and about how we can be transformed into conscious union with the Living God. 

Membership

Membership in CCH is a declaration of intentional relationship to the Divine Mystery that is God, and to His creation, our brother man.  It is formal expression of a personal hunger to practice and grow in this relationship and to live in deeper communion with God and our fellow man every day.  Each member of CCH shall endeavor to live in accordance with principles of Truth as taught by Jesus Christ and shall further the work of this Church and ministry through his or her active interest, sincerity, devotion, goodwill, prayer, service, time, effort, attention, financial support, love and affection.

The following are requirements before applying to become a member:

1 - Taken an Introduction to Centering Prayer class and have an active Centering Prayer practice.

2 - Taken the class, Lessons in Truth.

3 - Taken the class, The Psychology of Man's Possible Evolution or Simple Explanations of Word Ideas.

4 - Have been baptized.

5 - Taken each of the 4 specific New Member Classes (History and Purpose of CCH, Sacraments, Tithing and Stewardship, and Practice in Community).

Once these items have been completed, an application for membership may be requested from and submitted to the Church office. New member induction happens once each year, generally in the October time frame. The announcements or calendar page will provide the details.

Each required class is held once a year, with exception of, Introduction to Centering Prayer, which is held several times. Please refer to announcements and the calendar page for class dates.

    1. To work on ourselves through the practice of self knowledge
       
    2. To practice community by working with others in The Work
       
    3. To Work for the sake of The Work itself, through selfless giving
