The Work is the esoteric study and experience of Christianity. In modern times this ancient teaching is brought out in the writings of Maurice Nicoll. It is one of the core teachings used at the Church of Conscious Harmony.  We offer various levels of study and commitment.

Introduction to The Work

This is an open and ongoing weekly class that explores the fundamental teachings of the Work. The classes are taught from Maurice Nicoll's Psychological Commentaries on the Teachings of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky.  In these classes we learn important Work ideas that help us transform the way we experience ourselves to include the experience of God's love as our moment to moment experience. The Work offers practical psychological tools that can be applied in our everyday lives. Classes are full of rich personal sharing and meaningful lessons that can assist us on the spiritual journey. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience the wisdom and delight of Christianity through the Work.

The Tenth Man School

The Tenth Man School exists for the sake of individuals who come together for personal transformation. This is a sacred school for disciplined spiritual practitioners. Members of the Tenth Man School put themselves under the authority of the teachings of the Work and a teacher, with the aim of awakening into the consciousness of Christ in and as our life. The school provides the teaching, programs and focus to help students awaken from the illusion of separation and to help them live as conscious and free beings.

Joining the Tenth Man School is a serious lifelong commitment. Candidates prepare themselves with a series of classes and daily study, among other specific things.  Membership is capped at 72 and entry is by invitation to qualified candidates.
