The Work, based on the teachings of G.I. Gurdjieff, is one of the two core teachings upon which CCH is based.  As such, we offer various levels of study and commitment.

Introduction to The Work

This is an open and ongoing weekly class that explores the fundamental teachings of The Work. The classes are taught from Maurice Nicoll's Psychological Commentaries on the Teachings of Gurdjieff and Ouspensky.  In these classes we learn important Work ideas that help us transform the way we experience ourselves. The Work offers practical psychological tools that can be applied in our everyday lives. Classes are full of rich personal sharing and meaningful lessons that can assist us on the spiritual journey. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience the wisdom and delight of The Work.

The Tenth Man School

The Tenth Man School exists for the sake of individuals who come together for personal transformation. This is a sacred school for disciplined spiritual practitioners. Members of The Tenth Man School put themselves under the authority of the teachings of The Work and a teacher, with the aim of awakening. The school provides the teaching, programs and focus to help students awaken from the illusion of separation and to help them live as conscious and free beings.

Joining The Tenth Man School is a serious commitment of a minimum of one year, and requires candidates to complete a series of introductory classes among other things.  For more information about joining The Tenth Man School contact the Office Manager by phone or email.
