Movements

Movements

“The Movements can show us how to be in life, how to experience Presence and at the same time have a freer movement in manifestation. Instead of endless reactions – the conditioned responses of our automatism – there is the possibility of action coming from vision, from a conscious force that is higher. The Movements are a way of living the idea of Presence”.  Jeanne de Salzmann

Gurdjieff Movements are exercises and sacred dances having as their aim equilibrium and unity of being, harmonious balancing of the three centers and working in all three lines of the Work. Movements are accompanied by Gurdjieff music on the piano.

Movements are offered in the spring and fall. The spring 2024 program begins on Saturday, February 3, 9:00-11:00am. Classes will meet in the Fellowship Hall on or near the first Saturday morning of each month and three Tuesday evenings a month, 6:00-7:00. The last class of the Spring is June 1. Classes will resume in September. Regular attendance is required.

In order to participate in the Movements, participants must be registered for The Journey School. Signing a “waiver/release” document is required. There is also specific clothing needed.

All classes are in-person in the Fellowship Hall. There is no online alternative. If you have questions, please contact the church office at 512-347-967 or officemgr@consciousharmony.org
